More music for your ears! (and some events in Portland!)

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience. We have slowed down a bit since our big 100th post, but we are looking to pick up the pace again, starting with 7 free tracks in this post.

If you are in Portland, OR this Friday, we recommend you head over to Branx for Fubar 3, hosted by Pipedream. DJs include Kala, Mi'ka, Pipedream, Ryan Organ and Linoleum. Branx is located at 320 SE 2nd Avenue - the old B-Complex. It's a club, so 21+. I think the cover is $5. You'll hear a nice variety of music and the crowd at these parties is great!

Coming up next Friday, October 3rd, we bring you Techno Mayhem @ Pala. DJs George Holland and Jak from the SubSensory Record label will be joining Tronic on the decks to bang out the techno! Pala is at 105 NW 3rd Avenue in downtown Portland. Party goes from 9pm - late. No cover if you are in before 10pm, $5 after 10pm. 21+.

Also...we (Dancefloor Mayhem) are looking for a graphic designer to help us out. Someone who can also do web design would be awesome, but if you are just interested in digital design, that is fine. It's a non-paid, very part-time position, but we can hook you up with loads of free music and other goodies. If you are a student, we can also look into helping you get school credit if you are able to for a project such as this. Drop us a line if interested: dancefloormayhem @ gmail . com

Now for some music!!!

We'll start off with a homegrown producer, hailing from Southern Oregon - Joe Nemo. Joe is already well known in the NW for his production and DJ work, with releases on SubSensory Records, and should soon be known in the U.S. and beyond. He gave us a track called 'Headbangin' which we would like to share with you:

Joe Nemo - Headbangin' :: A techno track that continues to build and build with energy.

Next up we have a remix of 'Hearts on Fire' by Cut Copy that was done by Clockwork.

Next up we have a remix of one of our favorite ladies - M.I.A. This time, Loud Party takes on Boyz and turns out a great version for the dancefloor action. Loud Party is a producer in L.A. who has also remixed Daft Punk and Gillete.

One of our favorite electro producers, Le Castle Vania, has made magic once again, this time by teaming up with Computer Club.

Le Castle Vania + Computer Club - The Messiah :: This track is a remake of a classic drum-n-bass anthem (Konflict - Messiah) that has been reworked into a high energy electro banger!

For the last two tracks, I have strayed a bit beyond what we normally do, but wanted to give you a couple of indie-dance tracks that I am enjoying.

First up is the original version of 'Repetition Kills You' by The Black Ghosts. The full single was just released yesterday, with remixes from RAC, Phones, Diplo, Laidback Luke, and Emperor Machine. The song itself is electro-pop glory in its finest and has guest vocals from Damon Albarn of Blur / Gorillaz.
