New Music video from trance superstars Above & Beyond

Above & Beyond were recently chosen to do the soundtrack for Richard Branson's unveiling of the space ship at his Virgin Galactic project. At an event hosted by Richard Branson in the Mojave Desert, the track chosen to accompany the official unveiling of Space Ship Two was Above & Beyond's club anthem "Buzz", which was inspired by the Apollo 11 moon-landing. After the unveiling of the world's first space tourism spacecraft, Above & Beyond performed an exclusive DJ set in front of an audience of 800 dignitaries, celebrities and soon-to-be astronauts, plus the assembled global media.

Here is the music video for the new edit of the song "Buzz" featuring actual dialogue and video clips from the Apollo 11 mission, courtesy of NASA. It also features concept images of the travels of Space Ship Two.

500 posts and counting for Dancefloor Mayhem!

So this represents the milestone 500th post for Dancefloor Mayhem. I am really proud to be going strong after two years. I really want to thank all the producers, DJs, record labels and PR / Marketing people that have been kind enough to share music and other content with Dancefloor Mayhem. I am thankful for all the great relationships that have been established, and look forward to continuing to work with you to spread the good music!

Of course a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you that read Dancefloor Mayhem, listen to the music and get use out of the free tracks. If you don't mind, drop us a line in the comment section to let us know who you are, what your involvement with music is, where you are from and how you heard about Dancefloor Mayhem.

Now let's enjoy some quality electronic / dance music to celebrate 500 posts and look forward to many more!

We'll start off with a great guy who is an epic producer and he is always sending us dope tracks. Here is a tech house track from Alert as Brujas Oscuras.

Alert (as Brujas Oscuras) - El Catalizador [click to download]

Green Velvet has long been one of my favorite producers, from his bangin' tech house and crazy techno tracks, back to his Chicago House days as Cajmere. Here we get a remix of his more recent classic "Shake and Pop" from Cold Blank which blends elements of techno and electro house.

Green Velvet - Shake and Pop (Clod Blank remix) [click to download]

Ranny is another long time Dancefloor Mayhem contributor, with his signature circuit sound of tribal house. This time he blesses us with his own track featuring someone you may remember from RuPaul's Drag Race - Nina Flowers. "Loca" is a fierce tribal diva track.

Ranny feat. Nina Flowers - Loca (Ranny vs. The Popstar Mix) [click to download]

I think the tribal house fans will also love this one. So will all those who busted moves on dancefloors in the early to mid '90s. A great re-working of a true dance classic, I've got the Mobin Master remix of "Rhythm Is A Dancer".

Snap - Rhythm Is A Dancer (Mobin Master Remix) [click to download]

Switching gears now, I know there are some Glitch Mob fans and hip-hop heads reading this. Here is the Kraddy remix of "Forget About Dre".

Dr. Dre & Eminem - Forgot About Dre (Kraddy remix) [click to download]

One more for the hip-hop fans, this one is also for the dubstep heads. This is from one of the sickest bass-heads out there, Bassnectar, featuring an accapella from Lupe Fiasco.

Bassnectar feat. Lupe Fiasco - Land of the Lupes [click to download]

This next track is for all those creative DJs that read this. A true DJ tool, this is a short piece (2:48) that is waiting to be dropped in dope sets at just the right moment. The first part could be mixed out of an uptempo 4/4 set, and then the track drops into a dubstep vibe. Very epic tribal feel and I love the flute in this track.

B-90 - Lost in the Rainforest [click to download]

I'm going to wrap up our 500th post with two remixes of one of my favorite vocal progressive house songs "Till There Was You" by Rachael Starr remixed by The House Moguls and DJ Shift.

Kid Koala presents The Slew

Ninja Tune will be releasing the album '100%' by The Slew on November 24th.

What started as a soundtrack to a film never made has turned into a turntable rock experience.

Four and a half years ago, Eric San (aka Kid Koala) and Dylan J. Frombach (aka Dynomite D) started working on a rock record. The pair, who met on the Beastie Boys tour in 1998, had been approached to soundtrack a documentary feature film. The film was eventually abandoned, but with Mario C on board for mixing, San and Frombach were already deep into the psych rock-influenced score and there was no turning back.

Teaming up with Chris Ross and Myles Heskett, the former rhythm section of Grammy Award-winning band Wolfmother, The Slew set out to put together a full-blown rock band experience to do justice to the material in a live setting. And justice was served: The truly excessive six turntables, drum, bass, keyboard and wall of amps that made their way across North America this October made for a full-on raw, pummeling rock experience. The Slew bring punk rock attitude back to the turntable unlike anything you've ever heard.

We've got two free mp3s from the upcoming album and a video for you:
